An unforgettable weekend full of traveling, sightseeing, nice company, and parties it is all about Zagreb and Ljubljana trip with ErasBus!!! Zagreb We start from the capital city of Croatia, Zagreb, where we have a 1,5-hour tour with a professional guide, who will show you the most interesting places in the city. You will see St Mark’s Church, which has a colorful roof constructed in 1880, to emphasize Croatian traditional elements, and the 13th-century Lotrščak Tower, which was built to guard the gate of the town wall. Dont be surprised if you hear a loud explosion at noon. The cannon is fired from the Tower, every day to mark midday. Passing through the Stone Gate you will get to the Upper City. Legend says that the surrounding area was burned in 1731, but the Stone Gate embedded with a painting of Jesus and Mary miraculously remained undamaged. The painting was protected and is open to the public now. When you come to Kaptol part of Zagreb, you will see the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which is impressive both outside and inside. Also, the tour goes through a colorful fruit and vegetable market under red umbrellas in the center of Zagreb and Tkalčićeva Street, with bars, cafes, restaurants, and clubs in each building. We will finish at Ban Josip Jelacic square – the main square of the city. Zagreb has a lot of museums, but the most visited one is a Museum of Broken Relationships. It was the idea of a couple who broke up but couldnt divide their personal items; so they decided to create a museum of broken relationships. Today couples all over the world donate their common items and brief stories for the exhibition. So, during your free time, we kindly recommend you to visit this place, learn some funny and sad relationship stories. But, please, never expand this collection! Moreover, after the tour, you can visit the mystery Grič Tunnel, which was built in 1943 for use as a WWII air-raid shelter and is open for visitors now. As it is a two-day trip, we will stay in Zagreb for a night in the comfortable hostel. But dont expect to go to bed at 10 p.m.! Our ErasBus team is going to invite you to the pub for pre-drink and to the night club after. Cheerful mood, lots of fun and good company is guaranteed. 5 things to do in Zagreb according to ErasBus team: Visit the Lotrščak Tower and enjoy the view of Zagreb. Buy a tie in its homeland – Croatia. Take a photo with members of the Order of The Silver Dragon, which you can meet at St. Mark’s Square each Saturday (from April till the end of September). Try Zagorski Štrukli (popular traditional Croatian dish composed of dough and various types of filling). Walk in Grič Tunnel and feel yourself like in thriller film. Ljubljana The next day we will spend in Ljubljana, which means “to love, like”, the capital of S-LOVE-NIA. During a 2 hour tour you will discover the historical center of the city. The meeting point in Ljubljana is the marvelous square Prešernov Trg and the 17th-century Franciscan Church of the Annunciation. Running from the square to the Old Town is the Triple Bridge across Ljubljanica River. A must-visit place in the Old Town is St Nicholas Cathedral, which is not impressive outside, but breathtaking inside. There are two bronze sculptured doors one portrays the long history of Christianity in Slovenia and the other portrays recent bishops. On one of these doors, there is a spot, which is very bright because everyone rubs it for good luck! What is more, you will see many monuments, statues, and fountains during our tour with a professional guide, who will tell you some interesting facts about the city. The capital of Slovenia has a lot of bridges, but the most recognizable one is the Dragon Bridge (Zmajski Most). The symbol of Ljubljana is a dragon, the origins of which can be traced to the legend of Jason and the Argonauts. They fled on a ship to the mouth of the river Danube, instead reached the Aegean Sea and soon reached the Ljubljanica River. Near Ljubljana, they came across a large lake and a marsh where a swamp monster lived. Jason heroically fought the dragon and finally killed it. After the tour, you will have free time, which we recommend spending at the Ljubljana Castle, walking along the Ljubljania River or sitting in a cozy restaurant lining the river and enjoying the beauty of the city. Our trips are never boring because we prepare a couple of games with prizes for you. In Ljubljana, you can win 50 Euro prize per group participating in city-game. The task is to take photos while sightseeing. There are additional tasks: record a video dancing in a public place or take a photo with a member of ErasBus team. Additionally, we have some interesting bus games to make our trip funnier. 5 things to do in Ljubljana according to ErasBus team: Try raw (unpasteurized) milk from the special automat. Buy honey or honey liqueur. (Slovenia is proud of its honey industry). Take a boat trip across Ljubljanica River. Go to Ljubljana Castle by funicular. Make a wish at the door of Ljubljana Cathedral.
