Gingerbread Village Cicmany Our second stop will be in a gingerbread village called Cicmany, located in Zilina region about 700 m. The village is the highest located village of Zilina region. But its peculiarity is other. This lovely mountain village boasts by more than 100 wooden houses painted by white ornaments, so called the Cicmany ornaments. Some of them are even from 18th century, most of them are from 19th. In the past the village was famous thanks to production of the boots, now it is famous as an open air museum, although the village is still inhabited by regular inhabitants. We will stroll along the village and admire the wooden architecture. In addition we will taste traditional Slovakian cookies together with home-made plumb brandy. Bath in Spa Aphrodite Our next stop in a day trip from Bratislava to Cicmany will be charming SPA town Aphrodite, where we will have an entrance to Spa Aphrodite Baths. We will have 2 hours entrance to thermal pools of this beautiful spa resorts located in a beautiful landscape of Small Fatra National Park. The spa is built in ancient style, and it is one of the most popular spa resorts of Slovakia. Zilina After the 2 hours soaking in healing thermal water we will drive to a center of North West Slovakia, the city of Zilina.
